Palin opens mouth and inserts foot...again

Sarah Palin doesn't like the new Nuclear Arms reduction agreement. "It's kinda like getting out in the playground, a bunch of kids ready to fight, and one of the kids saying 'go ahead, punch me in the face, I am not going to retaliate, go ahead and do what you want to with me,'" Palin said. This in reference to the long-awaited and much needed nuclear arms reduction agreed to by the Russians and Americans.

So, let's see, how effective is this tactic? Well, I'm guessing those of us who remember a man named Ghandi think it's pretty darn effective. And those who remember MLK think hell yeah, that'll work. Might be a few bumps and bruises, but all in all, very effective.

Those kids getting ready to fight? They'll stand there waiting till the other side is ready to fight. No fist raised before it's time. And the other side doesn't and it's a standoff. A Sit-in. A peaceful gathering. Peace. Wow. What a concept. Oh sure there's plenty of legitimate reasons to dislike the treaty signed the other day. But this utter stupidity coming from Palin is no more than we expect from her. She wants to be the leader of the free world. She just doesn't want us to live free.

    I was asked recently if I like to play farmville.
    I answered -- "I play farmville. Idon't know that I like it." Truth be told it is addictive. I plan to stop playing...any day now... If I had a catastrophic event I might be able to stop.

Update! So, here's a tweak for those who enjoy a thicker fudgier brownier. As if that is possible. So borrowing from Alton Brown's technique on baking, here you go. Double the recipe, and lower the temp to 300. Same pan. However, use parchment paper to form a sling, meaning line the bottom and come up on the sides so the parchment hangs over about 2 inches. This will allow you to transfer the whole uncut brownie to finish the cooling outside the pan. Next change, beat the eggs with a paddle attachment on medium for 3 minutes first, then add all the dry ingredients. Then add the melted butter and vanilla. Finally, bake for 15 minutes, remove from the oven, set for 15 minutes, put them back in for another 30 minutes. Once removed from the oven, go ahead and let them rest for 30 minutes. Then using the parchment transfer to the cooling rack for 10 minutes. Now cut into 16 brownies. Eat one. Just one. Dare you. Original Post So let's keep this simple. Everyday it seems

Funny thing about Funny Bones

My favorite snack cake growing up was a Funny Bone. Wrapped in silver foil, like a Ring Ding, but shaped like a Yodel, and filled with this awesome peanut butter cream. Truth? It wasn't real cream, or real peanut butter, and who knows what kind of crap was used to make the most horribly delicious food ever.
